Short film eyes the life of a Beatle, Maribyrnong Leader

A YARRAVILLE filmmaker is drawing inspiration from the post-Beatles career of Paul McCartney for his latest short film.

W.D. Stevens’ trilogy Walter takes the audience on a 50-year journey through the life of David Walter, a fictional former member of the band.

“There have always been biopics on John Lennon, but nobody ever does anything about the other band members, he said.

“After the band broke up, Paul McCartney released a solo album called McCartney and then later on he released McCartney II.

“This trilogy is what you would imagine McCartney III to be like.”

The films will be shown at the Williamstown Little Theatre on July 16 at 2pm, 5.30pm, and 7.30pm. Tickets are$15 at trybooking.com/PRGU
